I was turned on to an article by the renowned esthetician, Evan Healy, today and I wanted to share this link to help clear up some misconceptions about SPF and how to use it.

I will have to argue that I personally feel that 20-30 minutes of unprotected sun, in my own opinion, is perfectly fine. I honestly believe that we do need to produce Vitamin D3 ourselves naturally through minimal interaction with the sun, even though supplementation is also important when this is not able or feasible to achieve. Also, I agree that clothing and protective gear, such as hats, are also very important to protect against UVA and UVB rays.
